COVID-19 testing – Extraction-free COVID-19 detection with Quantabio’s RT-qPCR ToughMixes

This application note provides information and comparison of three Quantabio mixes that dnature distributes for detection of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus.
The paper looked at the sensitivity of UltraPlex 1-Step ToughMix, qScript 1-Step Virus ToughMix and qScript XLT 1-Step RT-qPCR ToughMix on the detection of COVID-19 in nasal and saliva swabs using CDC protocols. It was demonstrated that all three mixes were highly sensitive, particularly for extraction-free detection.
